We serve an amazing God Who has spoken to us through His Word! His Word is incredible and worthy of our love, because of the One Who wrote it. Throughout 2026, our congregation is going to be focusing on “O How I Love Your Word!” (Psalm 119:97). Various things throughout the year will connect with this theme. On this page, you can find information about some of those opportunities, keep up with new/ upcoming events, and catch up on anything that you missed.

2026 Reading Plan

Join us as we read through the Bible together throughout 2026! We will be following a Five Day Bible Reading Plan (which is from fivedaybiblereading.com). The five days give you a couple of days off each week, which could be used to catch up on the weeks readings, or for additional Bible readings/ study/ devotions/ etc. You can read all of it each week, or read only the New Testament and/ or Psalms readings.

This Bible reading plan places the Old Testament passages as chronologically as possible (even the Psalms are read where they belong in Israel’s history, when feasible). This also means that some prophets (notably Jeremiah) will be read out of order, but in chronological order instead (the order those events would have happened in history). So, always do the readings in the order that it appears on the schedule (e.g. read the Chronicles reading before the Kings reading, when listed in that order).

Sunday Morning Adult Class - “Seeking God In His Word”

Every week, our congregation will use the Sunday morning class period to discuss things that we learned from the previous week’s readings. The various teachers might choose to summarize a larger section of the reading (e.g. they might summarize the story of Joseph in the weeks we read Genesis 37-50); OR they could choose to pick a specific passage to focus on (e.g. they might focus on Mark chapter 5 in the week that it is read); OR they can bring out themes that they noticed throughout that week’s readings (e.g. they might talk about themes of Kingship, High Priests, and sacrifice in a week that we read from Leviticus, Hebrews, & Psalm 110); etc. The idea is that the teacher gets to decide what part(s) of that week’s reading that they would like the group to focus on a bit more. They might even choose to leave time in the class to allow others to bring out things that stuck out to them in that week’s readings.

Some weeks, an additional class on this topic will be offered in a side room for the ladies. This will be taught by various women from our congregation, and is intended for the women only. At the same time, there will always be a class in the auditorium on this topic, which will be taught by one of the men of our congregation.

Articles/ Blog On The People of the Bible

On every Sunday throughout 2026, various members and friends of our congregation will be writing articles for our blog. These will each focus on various people from the Bible. So, as you read about these people in the Bible, you can read what others have to say about them. If you would like to contribute to our blog by writing an article, then reach out to Cameron Piner for more information.

Monthly In-Home Gatherings

Throughout 2026, we will have monthly gatherings in the homes of our local family in Christ. These will be wonderful opportunities to grow closer to each other and to God through shared time together. This year, we will rotate through four different focuses for these gatherings:

1) Bible Reading - We will gather together to spend time reading scriptures together. Seeking our God in His Word, as we share together in our exploration of His Word.

2) Singings - We will gather together to learn new songs, practice newer songs, and sing old favorites. Praising our God in songs, while teaching and admonishing one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs.

3) Prayer Meetings - We will spend some time talking to our God. Continuing to grow closer to God and to each other in prayer.

4) Family Time - These gatherings will be simply intended to spend time with each other, sharing in the joy of each other’s company and companionship. These may be focused around varies activities chosen by the host (e.g. movie night, art day, board games, etc.), or simply a potluck to bring food and spend time socializing with each other. Growing closer to our family in Christ, by spending time together.
